Here's Book One of the graphic novel for SAM-Demon Hunter.
This is written in comic book format ... and some of the margins may not be straight (I had a problem with the transfer of text).
Just deal with it :)
PAGE ONE
PANEL ONE: Night. A figure stands in the shadows, waiting for his prey. A Beautiful young woman is walking along the rain soaked streets just a few feet away.
1. FIGURE: A NICE NIGHT, SOME SWEET DEATH, THIS COULD BE FUN.
PANEL TWO: The figure emerges from the shadows. This is “Bad Tommy.” A handsome young man, appears to be in his late twenties. Dressed all in black, he has a seductive and almost regal look to him. His appearance has somewhat shocked the young woman. Her name is Cindy.
2.TOMMY: HEY BABYDOLL, WHAT’S THE RUSH?
PANEL THREE: Cindy quickly recovers from her shock and begins to brush Tommy away.
3.CINDY: YEAH, OKAY, YOU’RE A HOTTIE, BUT I’VE HAD ENOUGH FOR TONIGHT. BUY ME A DRINK AT THE CLUB TOMORROW NIGHT, OKAY?
PANEL FOUR: Tommy’s only response is a knife sunk deeply into Cindy’s chest.
4.SOUND FX: SLIT!
PANEL FIVE: Close-Up on Cindy as she suddenly realizes that her life is slipping away as the blood flows.
5. CINDY NO!
PANEL SIX: Bad Tommy holds her close in a death’s embrace. He’s showing an expression of contentment and love.
6. TOMMY: WAS IT GOOD FOR YOU TOO?

PANEL ONE: The scene changes to the busy inside of a theme restaurant. This is the view of another person hiding in the shadows. This time, it’s a woman, who we do not fully see. She’s watching one of the waiters maneuver himself through the busy crowd.
1. FIGURE(thought): I JUST HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE RIGHT TIME. DON’T WORRY, SAM. I’VE COME BACK.
PANEL TWO: We’re down on the floor with Sam, early thirties, healthy looking, full head of dark hair, looks like the kind of guy you’d want to have a beer with. Sam is rushing to the aid of his workmate Michele. Early twenties, blond hair, very pretty. She’s started to lose her cool in the middle of this busy Saturday night crowd.
2.MICHELE: HELP, HELP, HELP, HELLLLLLLLP!!!!
3. SAM: GOT YER BACK, BABY!! GIMME THOSE TWO PLATES, TAKE THESE DRINKS, AND I’LL FOLLOW YOU WITH A TRAY STAND.
4. MICHELE (2): MY KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR!
5. SAM (2): ONTO VICTORY!!!
PANEL THREE: From her secret place. The feminine form in the shadows continues her surveillance. She watches as Michele leans up against Sam, thanking him for helping her out with such a busy table.
6. MICHELE: YOU’RE ALWAYS THERE FOR ME.
7. SAM: AND I ALWAYS WILL BE, MILADY. BUT NOW, YOUR KNIGHT IS OFF TO CONQUER ANEW!!!
PANEL FOUR: Foreground Close-Up on the “Woman in the Shadows” as she frowns ever so slightly. She’s watching as Sam carries Michele off to the kitchen, both laughing along the way.
8.FIGURE(thought): LOOKS LIKE WE BOTH HAVE SOMETHING TO FIGHT FOR
PANEL FIVE: A sudden flash of white light instantly follows and the figure is gone!

PANEL ONE: It’s after the shift. Sam and Michele are sitting together in a half-rounded table booth. Sam is counting his money and Michele is resting her head on his shoulder.
1. SAM: HOW’RE YOU GETTING HOME TONIGHT, BABY?
2. MICHELE: Y’KNOW, IF ANYBODY ELSE CALLED ME BABY, I’D TAKE IT AS AN INSULT. WITH YOU, I’LL LET IT SLIDE. I GOT MY EX-BOYFRIEND’S CAR TONIGHT. I’M COOL
3. SAM (2) THAT’S JUST WEIRD TO ME. WHY DO YOU KEEP THAT GUY AROUND?
4. MICHELE (2) I CAN’T DO ANY EXPLAINING TONIGHT. MY HEAD FEELS LIKE RIPE SUSHI.
PANEL TWO: Sam gets up. He’s looking a bit sad, but tries to conceal it/. Michele is sympathetic.
5. MICHELE YOU WALKING HOME AGAIN TONIGHT?
6. SAM YEAH. I JUST NEED SOME “ALONE TIME.” Y’KNOW, BECAUSE OF “THE ANNIVERSARY.”
7. MICHELE (2) IT’S BEEN 3 YEARS, HASN’T IT? HOPE WAS A BEAUTIFUL GIRL.
8. SAM (2) SURE WAS. I’LL SEEYA TOMORROW NIGHT.
PANEL THREE: Sam is walking down the street. It’s night and the road is still wet from an earlier thunderstorm. Sam has the feeling that he’s being watched.
PANEL FOUR: Sam is suddenly knocked off his feet!
9. SOUND FX: THWAK!!!!!!
PANEL FIVE: Sam begins to regain his vision, only to be shocked by the site of three female demons standing over him. You can tell that these were once beautiful girls, their features now ravaged and rotting
10. SAM: WHAT ARE YOU GALS SUPPOSED TO BE? CHARLIE’S ANGELS FROM HELL?
PANEL SIX: Suddenly, a burst of white light burns into the night! It knocks all three female demons off their feet. Sam recoils in shock.
11. SOUND FX: THOOOOOOMMMM!!!!
12. SAM DAMN!! WHAT THE HELL.?!!
PANEL SEVEN: Close up on Sam’s face. Bright light shines on his features as he’s shocked at what he sees.
13. SAM IT CAN’T BE. NO FREAKIN’ WAY!
PAGE FOUR
PANEL ONE: An angelic woman hovers above Sam. The sight is reminiscent of the classic “Angel revealing herself to a mortal” scene. Bright white light illuminates the night sky as this beautiful red-haired woman dressed all in white hovers above Sam and the three cowering female demons. This “Guardian Angel” is named Hope. This panel takes up the entire page.
1. HOPE: YEAH, IT’S ME BABY. HOPE HAS ARRIVED!

PANEL ONE: Sam is shocked to see the woman he loved, and probably still does, hovering above him like some killer angel. White energy crackles around her, almost in the form of wings. Three salivating female demons are in the background, waiting to pounce on their prey.
1. HOPE: HEY BABY. IT’S GONNA BE ALRIGHT.
2. SAM: UH, YEAH, SURE, OKAY. I’LL JUST BE OVER HERE TRYING NOT TO HAVE A HEART ATTACK.
PANEL TWO: The female demons, not really caring about any exchange of words going on between their intended prey, begin their ferocious attack. A sudden blast of white light slams into them and the three demons hurl into the air in all directions.
3. SOUND FX: SKKKRRRAAAAKKKK!!!!
4. HOPE: DON’T BE RUDE!
PANEL THREE: All three Demons hit the pavement just as Hope lands and confronts her opponents..
5. HOPE: I’LL NEED YOUR NAMES.
PANEL FOUR: Still on the ground, the female demons are defiant.
6. DEMON #1: OUR NAMES DO NOT MATTER! OUR LIVES ARE FORFEIT TO OUR MASTER!
7. HOPE: AND THAT MASTER IS …?
8. DEMON #2: YOU WILL SOON KNOW HIS NAME!
9. DEMON #3: ALL SHALL KNOW HIS NAME AND FEAR HIM!!!
PANEL FIVE: Hope is actually amused. She faces the Demons as they rise from the ground.
13. HOPE: OKAY, SO DID ALL OF YOU TALK LIKE B-MOVIE VILLAINS WHEN YOU WERE ALIVE? ‘CUZ, Y’KNOW, IF YOU DID … THAT’D BE REALLY CREEPY.

PANEL ONE: Demon #1 hurls herself at Hope and is smacked to the head for her efforts!
1. SOUND FX: CCRRRRRACK!!!!
PANEL TWO: Demon #2 furiously attacks her opponent, but Hope leaps into the air, grabs #2 by the head, flips her over and slams her into Demon #3!
2.SOUND FX: SWOOSH! SLAM!!!
PANEL THREE: Close Up on Sam. He is still freaking out, watching this battle royal. He’s shocked beyond words, but finds a few to describe what he’s looking at …
3.SAM: THIS FEELS LIKE AN EXTREME WRESTLING PAY-PER-VIEW.
PANEL FOUR: He begins to back away, but Hope spots him.
4.HOPE: SORRY BABY, I CAN’T LET YOU OUT OF MY SIGHT.
PANEL FIVE: Sensing an opening, the demons pounce on Hope! Fists, feet, and fury pound on Hope as the demons shred into her!
5. SOUND FX SSSSSSSSSSHHHHHRRRRRIIIIEEEEEKKKKK!!!
PANEL SIX: A massive burst of white energy explodes into the night sky as Hope unleashes an energy burst!
6. SOUND FX: CCCCCCRRRRRRAAAACCCKKK!!!!
PANEL SEVEN: It’s raining demon body parts, as Hope stands triumphant. She’s also spotted Sam fleeing from the scene. She’s mad at herself for being so violent, realizing that it scared Sam even more.
7. HOPE: NICE ONE, HOPE.

PANEL ONE: From the Shadows, Bad Tommy and (the newly “demoned”) Cindy watch as Hope takes off after Sam. Cindy is a shadow of her former self. Her face is almost zombie-like, with a gray complexion and rotting flesh.
1. TOMMY: DID YOU SEE THAT?! DAMN, THAT CHICK’S GOT SOME POWER! YOU COULD HAVE THAT POWER IF YOU REALLY WANTED IT.
2. CINDY: I’M DISGUSTING! WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?
3. TOMMY (2): AW, C’MON! I MADE YOU BETTER! MORE POWERFUL.
4. CINDY (2): YOU MADE ME LIKE THOSE THREE UGMO’S WHO JUST GOT SPLATTERED INTO THE PAVEMENT!
PANEL TWO: Bad Tommy pulls Cindy close and caresses her hair. Cindy is still upset.
5. TOMMY: THOSE WOMEN WEREN’T ANYTHING LIKE YOU. YOU’RE BEAUTIFUL!
6. CINDY: YOU MADE ME INTO SOME KIND OF DEMON THING.
I MEAN … WHO’S GONNA WANT ME NOW?
PANEL THREE: Bad Tommy waves his hand and a “dark mirror” has appeared. Tommy has turned Cindy’s head toward it. The reflection shows Cindy as a beautiful, raven-haired woman.
7. TOMMY: WHAT I SEE HERE IS A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN WHO’S BEEN TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BY SICK AND TWISTED MEN.
8. TOMMY (2): NO! NOT MEN, LITTLE BOYS WHO DON’T KNOW HOW TO APPRECIATE YOU.
9. CINDY: YOU’RE A MAN.
10. TOMMY (3) I’M A LITTLE MORE THAN THAT, SWEETNESS.
PANEL FOUR: Cindy has turned around to face Tommy. She now looks exactly like her mirrored reflection. She’s also starting to believe in him.
11.CINDY: SO, YOU APPRECIATE ME?
12. TOMMY: OF COURSE I DO! WANNA KNOW HOW I CAN APPRECIATE YOU EVEN MORE?
13. CINDY: TELL ME, PLEASE.
PANEL FIVE: Tommy spins her in the direction of the previous fight. He stays behind her, moving his lips close to her ear. Cindy is falling for the seduction and loving every moment. A sly smile comes across her face.
14. TOMMY: ALL THAT MATTERS TO ME IS THAT YOU’RE HAPPY. THAT GUY YOU JUST SAW, HIS NAME IS SAM. HE REPRESENTS THE TYPE OF MAN YOU’VE HATED ALL OF YOUR LIFE. I WANT TO WATCH YOU KILL THAT SORRY SON OF A BITCH.
15. TOMMY (2): DO THAT FOR ME. THAT’S ALL I ASK.
PANEL SIX: Cindy has turned to embrace Tommy. She’s intent on accomplishing his task. Tommy could really care less. He’s checking himself out in the “dark mirror.”
16. CINDY: I’LL DO ANYTHING YOU ASK.
17. TOMMY: THERE’S MY GIRL.
PAGE EIGHT
PANEL ONE: Hope is chasing Sam down the street. Sam, scared out of his mind, is doing his best to forget this night has ever happened. Hope just wants to catch up to him. Her body is starting to crackle with white energy.
1. SAM: YOU WERE DEAD! I SAW THE BODY! AND NOW YOU’RE BACK?!
2. HOPE: HOW ABOUT YOU SHOUT THAT A LITTLE LOUDER SO THE DEAF GUY DOWN THE STREET CAN GIVE A DAMN?!
PANEL TWO: Hope lands right in front of Sam, causing him to stop in his tracks.
5. HOPE: DAMMIT SAM! YOU’VE BEEN CHOSEN FOR A DIVINE MISSION! I’M HERE TO GUIDE YOU!
6. SAM IT’S NICE TO KNOW THAT HEAVEN HAS A SENSE OF HUMOR!
PANEL THREE: Sam bolts away in the opposite direction. Hope has lost her patience. She’s heaving a sigh of frustration while watching him run for his life.
SAM: HEY! GREAT TO SEE YOU AGAIN! LIKIN’ THE GUARDIAN ANGEL THING YOU GOT GOING! I’M GONNA GO HANG OUT WITH THOSE CHERUBS ON THE STREET CORNER!
HOPE: THIS GUY IS LUCKY I STILL LOVE HIM.
PANEL FOUR: Hope is flying above the fleeing Sam, white energy crackles around him. The site of his assumed dead girlfriend, now turned Angel hovering above him, stuns Sam.
9. HOPE: YOU’RE ABOUT TO BE GIVEN A GIFT! YOU’LL POSSESS THE PURE POWER NEEDED TO STOP AN EVIL THAT’S OUT OF CONTROL!
10. SAM: THAT’S OKAY! I DON’T NEED IT! DID YOU KEEP THE RECEIPT? I’M SURE GOD HAS A RETURN POLICY!
PANEL FIVE: Hope lands right in front of Sam. Her white energy is rising in intensity.
11. HOPE : I’M SORRY BABY, THIS HAS TO HAPPEN.
12. SAM: WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO S….?
PANEL SIX: Hope leans into Sam and delivers a deep kiss on the lips! It’s a passionate kiss that sizzles the white energy crackling around them.
PANEL SEVEN: Hope slowly backs away as her white energy is transferred to Sam. He is standing there, confused at the surging power building in intensity.
13. SAM WHAT’S HAPPENING..?

PANEL ONE: Night turns to day as a burst of pure, white energy explodes downward from the heavens! It bursts out around Sam, bathing him in a surge of pure power!

PANEL ONE: Sam has been transformed into a Warrior. His off-white, long flowing coat drapes what can only be described as “battle armor.” All in white, a white that isn’t exactly pure white, more of a silvery, dirty white covers his armor. Sam’s eyes crackle with pure energy and his fierce gaze stares into the night.
PANEL TWO: Somewhat exhausted by the transference of power, Hope gazes at Sam, proud of her work.
1. HOPE : THERE’S MY BOY.
PANEL THREE: Suddenly, Hope is struck from behind! She slams into Sam, but he catches her in his arms.
PANEL FOUR: Sam holds onto Hope’s unconscious form. He stares at this new opponent, who we don’t see yet. Sam’s gaze is that of white-hot fury!
2. OPPONENT: WHAT’S THE MATTER …?
(OFF-PANEL)
PANEL FIVE: Full View of the opponent … it’s Cindy! It’s the “beautiful version” of Cindy, but there is an evil aura about her. Dark energy crackles around her body as she faces off with Sam.
